Barley Brimstone was a figure of great importance in Ochebanian history, notably as heroic general, emperor, and revolutionary leader.
History
Military Career
Brimstone enlisted in the army when he was 14 years old. He quickly rose through the ranks thanks to his strategic genius and strong base of support. As a general, he gained the strong loyalty of his Northern Legion, which he commanded out of Orksed.[2] Under the year of Republic rule, he was a conservatist and tried to maintain the northern border. He achieved the legendary Brimstone's Fold, in which he saved the empire from a huge orcish host. He proceeded to claim the throne.
Imperial Rule
Brimstone was a ruthless emperor who didn't shy before any measures to reunite his 5th Empire. He exterminated all repanas and brutally punished all insurgents during the Scourge; he also introduced NASE secret police. He also imposed economic reforms, granting the nobility much control over their slaves.
A major success of Brimstone's rule was the invasion and occupation of Colupan from 387 to 376 b. OW.
Insurgence Support
After Brimstone was bested from power, he retreated to a location in the Snakewoods, from where he set up an insurgent network in the military and noble spheres. He also married the revolutionary elf Karloian, with whom he had two daughters. They later played a major role in the Karloian Revolutions.
