The City-State of Luche was a wealthy theocratic polity in the Luche Archipelago. Its capital featured the Cathedral of Glory, which was home to the Disciple of St. John, who was both the ruler of the city-state and the head of the new starquintist church, and later the starsilvist one.
History
Luche seceded from the Breighan Kingdom in 6'981 for religious reasons: Breighanshire was fundamentalist, whereas much of Luchadimalah was new starquintist. A dozen nobles and the new starquintist church formed a theocratic state of their own.
The city-state was a key player in archipelago politics, notably during humanity's first mechanical revolution and during humanity's overseas expansion.
In 881, the Weluche Order forged a united state out of the archipelago polities.
