Silvrena Derrkyr, usually referred to by her title, Our Lady of Feathers, was a fey queen renowned for both her magical skill and her cruelty.

Although born to night elves, Silvrena was something entirely different, a true fey queen.

History

According to legend, Silvrena was born to "two Muyn'ell of gender one, a dame and a lady". She quickly left her small night elven society, making a life for herself among the Unseelie fey. Her ruthlessness and natural skill with magic allowed her to quickly rise through the ranks, becoming the second hand of a succubus lieutenant of the Six Queens.

During a delicate mission outside of Unseelie territory, Silvrena turned against her mistress, imbibing herself with the succubus's power by bathing in her blood and eating her wings. In a surge of magic, she lost some of her night elven body parts in favor of more attractive features, and her innate magic grew tainted by the succubus's feathers. Thereafter, Silvrena often had a halo of feathers outlining her back, and many of her spells produced feathery echoes.

She grew a large following of night elves and other corrupted beings, the most prominent among them being harpies and feather-kin, faelings corrupted by Silvrena's magic growing feathers on their arms and backs. Silvrena herself grew very powerful and became known as Our Lady of Feathers in the wider Feywild. The Unseelie Court, feeling threatened by her rise to power and traitorous attitude, tried to get rid of her. In order to outplay their dark competitors, the Seelie court made Our Lady into a full queen, giving her enough status and power to be invulnerable to most Seelie minions.

In the end, the Unseelies accepted her as one of theirs, making her the only Unseelie queen not part of the Six. She was not allowed near the Six, however, and ruled her own domain.

Our Lady of Feathers' life and reign ended when a succubus whom she had taken under her wing killed her, gaining her power and title in the process. This gave birth to a long line of Ladies of Feathers, although none managed to equal Our Lady.
