Banulia, known as Fensworth in the post-Orc Wars Ochebana Empire, was a large city on Bachulu.
History
Human colonists from the Luche archipelago were shocked when they first landed on the shores of Bachulu: bad land, dangerous wildlife… after some searching, they found the old and rotten remains on a large expanse on the shore of a lake, with a stone cairn in its center (the remains of Kakklakk). The land around it was quickly found to have high-quality wood trees and great farming land. They prospered, slowly growing into quite an impressive city, when the population stabilized (in 400 b. OW) to around 2'200, living in wooden houses. They lived in unison with the surrounding land, as nothing around would attack them[1]. When the Ochebana Empire started landing on the northern coast, they ignored it, sure of their good intentions. When the empire overran them in 147 b. OW, they were absolutely defenseless[2].
The town was renamed Fensworth, the natives quickly incorporated into Ochebanian society. This worked well enough until the Orc Wars, when the entire Ochebana Empire had to fall back on this city and its surroundings in what was called the Venan Bastion[3]. Living conditions were horrible, the town tightly packed with 20'000 people. Excrements, mud, trash and people filled the roads and houses. It was a terrible time for everyone[1]. Imperial efforts did lead to better living conditions, however, especially when Bachulu started to seriously industrialize. In 62 OW, most of the ochebanians went off to recolonize Balebu[3].
Banulia attained independence during the Sarrasano freedom war[3]. In 229 OW, however, the Dwarven Empire invaded the town[1] and - after facing considerable but desperate resistance - burned it to the ground, leaving no one alive. A single square tower was built on the ancient stones of the dady fort.
