National Security was a military unit independent from the established army and navy branches. It served as state police under Emperor Brimstone's 5th Empire.

History

The unit was founded in 393 b. OW to combat disunity within the empire, notably among rural slaves, which had been caused by the disastrous republican rule. It served as the primary institution of Brimstone's power, both as a propaganda bureau and a state police.¹ It did not have any jurisdiction in the military, however.

The Scourge

The NASE was pivotal in organizing and performing the infamous Scourge. Thousands of people accused of treason were rounded up in the countryside, marched naked along the long roads to Longhorn Bay, and executed there.¹. They also beat down free slave farms and placed them back under noble estate control.

Propaganda in 376

NASE spread news of horrid bloodthirsty revoltees, lynched governors, and savage people to disgust and still the Balebian population after the Colupan Takeover. This was however insufficient to ward off revolution.²
