Ancestry

High elven, House Yenei

Ithronel'Inne Yeneil, also known by her titles of Matron Yeneil, Matron Concordance, and Royal Hunt Mistress Ithronel, was a high elf who lived in the Elvish Empire and Silur Kingdom.

Personality

Ithronel was renowned for her exceptional cool-headedness, patience, gentleness, and compassion. Even in the most dangerous moments, she always remained clear and calm, and was very good at managing crises and stressful situations. She was also very understanding of others, often going to great lengths to help and protect near-complete strangers. And she was almost devoid of prejudice.

Her kindness sometimes went too far, however; she often failed to perceive threats when they were right in front of her, and failed to prepare adequately for future problems, embracing a near-unshakeable optimism that misled her more often than not.

History

Biography

Elvish Empire

Ithronel was born in 4'257 b. OW, to the sister of the matron of House Yeneil, a minor high elven house located on the shore of Numanlago, on Silur. The house's economy was built on shipping and trade via the Cazaki river, and Ithronel traveled up and down the river already at a young age, discovering the peoples and places of Silur.

She became a full noble in 4'200 b. OW, when she was given control of a small boating flotilla. With time, she grew some experience both in government and in political intrigue, slowly working her way up her house's hierarchy. She had two children during this time, one with a Saissan sun elf, and one with a dark elf from up north.

Elvish Wars

When the civil war broke out, Yeneil was at first relatively untouched by the fighting; there were no Black Spider elements in the area. However, feuds between Silurite houses started all around Yeneil, and the house troops had to defend their land several times. Ithronel helped forge alliances with neighboring sun elven Saissan and the militarily potent Tummyanam.

An enemy force defeated Yeneil's soldiers and killed the matron in battle, in 4'102 b. OW. Ithronel quickly gathered her remaining forces and called upon her allies, repelling the enemies. She became the new matron, and quite successfully led her house, surviving the civil war and in fact rising to a powerful position.

House Concordance and the Silurite Alliance

Yeneil and two neighboring houses were fighting together, fending off enemies all around them. But Yeneil's boats were key in the war, shipping in supplies from beyond the lake and saving the important Saissan city of Numanobar from a siege. Ithronel's leadership was widely respected and, deciding to set a precedent towards unity and peace, the three houses decided to unite into House Concordance and appointed Ithronel as their matron.

Ithronel was a popular leader within her house, especially thanks to the ideology she pushed. In the newly established Silurite Alliance, Concordance was the largest house, which allowed Ithronel to leverage her power further. She was the elf with the most influence on the entire continent, and used this power to promote peace and strengthen the Alliance. She also structured and expanded the Alliance's army.

Sadly, House Concordance fell in 3'922, and the Alliance crumbled. But Ithronel, who had just lost virtually all her family and friends, almost singlehandedly brought the houses back together and forged the Silur Kingdom.

Royal Hunt Mistress

The nobility of House Concordance was gone, and its remains were scattered everywhere. Smaller parts requested autonomy, and its capital Numanobar became a free city and the capital of the Kingdom. Thus, instead of trying to rebuild Concordance, Ithronel appointed herself Royal Hunt Mistress, the commander of the Kingdom's soon-to-be federal army. She did not have a seat in the ruling council, but her position as most important public official still gave her great political influence, and she was still beloved by the public. She managed to build up the federal army, and use it to properly build up and protect the new Silur Kingdom, inscribing herself as one of the mythical heroes of elvenkind.

Her age caught up to her in 3'823, and she soon after departed the material world.

Relationships

Ithronel engaged in three romantic relationships during her Yeneil years, but these were rarely long-lived affairs, the longest relationship taking up 15 years. She was mostly exploring her emotions during this time, living the free life of a young person. She did have two children in this period, both of which did not grow up in House Yeneil.

Zimme served as Ithronel's close advisor and commander of her Shield of Concordance during the Alliance years, and Ithronel developed a liking to the drow fenale; he became her closest friend. During the fighting in 3'922, Zimme took a blade in the gut for Ithronel, and while lying in a pool of blood in her arms, he confessed that he loved her. Luckily, he survived his wounds, and was an important support for Ithronel when she maneuvered to build the Silur Kingdom, and then to build and command the federal army. Zimme would occasionally change into male or female form, whenever the couple was interested in physical intercourse, and Ithronel gave birth to Zimme's baby in 3'890 b. OW.
