History
The word progressivism was coined in the Dwarven Empire some time after its founding, during a political crisis. A parliament, clan leader council, and more popular representation was introduced. Since then, the Dwarves were the most "progressive" society on Oshmondu.
Even more democratic than the Dwarves was the Silur Kingdom. Although some houses still kept to the late Elvish Empire nobility system, others had more political participation at their scale. Relations between houses were even more democratic. The elves never called themselves "progressivist", however, and there was no unified movement calling for progressive values.
Progressivism became fashionable in human archipelago states around 400 b. OW, with the founding of Denise and especially Turlu afterwards.1 They had parliaments which could veto the government and which made state law.2 These states were expressively aggressive in their political ideology, encouraging other states - especially Ochebana during the Eternal War and the Deltree Dynasty - to also incorporate these values. Progressivism did not however become a major topic in the west until the Orc Wars.Page Admin
