Geographical Features
Rogg-Vaasa was divided into two by the Methflow, which flew out of the Lake of Chessenta, across Rogg-Vaasa, and into the Moonsea. The reasonably fertile central plains were additionally bracketed on both sides by the Nightwood, a dense dark forest, and the Maerwatch and Vaasa glacier in the north.
Native Populations
The fall of the Elvish Empire and ensuing emergence of the Mruggenrykz led to central Intralu's rapid sinking into wilderness. The savage mruggen appeared, goblinoid tribes fostered, and Rogg-Vaasa turned into a relatively consistent region for thousands of years.
Flowtown Society
A group of humans eventually arrived in Rogor. Although they took a long time, they slowly spread across the lake and down the Methflow, founding first Chessenta and then Maerdooth. These villages formed a closed economic system known as the Flowtowns, which managed to survive with all the wild races around.
The geographic situation channeled all travel onto a northeast - southwest axis. For this reason, all settlements kept to the river. The economic fundament of the villages consisted of fishing, some agriculture, and on the goods brought in by hunters and trappers. Some goblin tribes notably supplied the Flowtowns in furs. Additionally, traders from the dwarven Thar kingdom traveled down the frozen Walmoor in winter, bringing metal and worked goods to the Methflow.
Coexistence Compacts. The Flowtowns were rather unique in the Mruggenrykz for their policy of coexistence. When Chessenta was on the verge of collapse, it had shrugged off the soldiers of its parent city, Rogor, and signed a treaty of territorial recognition with two neighboring goblinoid tribes. Thereafter, the Flowtowns rigidly kept to the necessary policy of peace, entertaining some trade and mainly non-aggression with all their neighbors. Actions by individuals that threatened the peace were dealt with expeditiously by the clergy.
