Hill dwarves are the most common of dwarven races, and usually live in hilly regions that lack mountainous peaks.

Racial Lore

> - Fortresses of Stone. Due to the missing mountains, hill dwarves often build strong fortresses of stone that start above ground and end in corridors deep below ground. > - Thinkers of the Race. Hill dwarves are the most wise and reflective part of the dwarven race. Having less of an intuitive drive for achievement, they have much more time to think. They're the most intelligent ones, and in kingdoms, they often serve as counselors or field workers, depending on their renown.

Racial Traits

• Ability Score Increase. Increase your WIS and CON modifiers by 0.5.
• Dwarven Resilience You have advantage on saving throws against poison, and you have resistance against poison damage.
• Dwarven Toughness. Your HP increases by 1 for every level you gain.

• Epic Racial: Increase your HP maximum by 15, and you can cast heat metal, stone shape and stoneskin as cantrips.
