>To rock gnomes, life is a combination of scavenger hunts and periods of bold experimentation. They go in the mine, find some ore or other, and find out what to invent or create with it.

> Creating. Gnomes create practical and/or beautiful stuff, but all of this is simply for the cause of creating. Their life is a constant experimentation, and they live it out fully. Clockwork. Some of their greatest inventions are clockwork - automated machines that can perform various tasks. They often trade these with other gnomish burrows, mainly forest gnomes, to get food so they can concentrate more on creation.

> Tunnel View. Once a rock gnome has an idea, they won't let it go. They will work on it, day and night, ignoring everything else until they get it done.

Racial Traits

• Age. You live up to 400 years.

When you choose this subrace, you gain the following traits:

• Ability Improvement. Your INT modifier increases by 1.
• Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 ft.
• Tinker. You master all artisan’s tools.
• Darkvision. You have darkvision to a range of 60 feet.

When you reach 25th level, you gain this additional trait:

• Epic Racial: Your INT modifier increases by 1, and may exceed 7, but not 10.
